Corporate Social Responsibility programme is becoming a ‘must have’ for most companies, which see this as a way to be altruistic while improving their public image. Given these goals, the efficacy with which companies not only implement but also communicate their CSR initiatives — both to the communities in which their programmes operate as well as the public at large — is becoming paramount.
There are many bright young girls who drop out of schools and live without a hope of continuing their education any further. Sometimes they are victims of family conflicts or social discriminations.
Ortel helps the deprived Girl child who wants to continue higher education.
Ortel sponsors 30, 10+2 scholarships for the underprivileged girl child across the state of Orissa.
1. We believe that every girl deserves to have a good education that will help them to be an active part of our society as respectable women. Using the money from our OSHEG project fund, our goal is to brighten up the future of at least 30 girls this year.
2. As part of ORTELs social responsibility program, the scheme provides for attractive scholarship to bright students selected on ‘merit-cum-means’ basis. For the academic year 2010-11, 30 scholarships covering the first year students of 10+ will be formally announced through newspaper advertisements inviting applications under the scholarship scheme.
